Pesawat Tempur Latih T50i

“Done Deal” RI datangkan T50i

Pemerintah Indonesia melalui Kementerian Pertahanan telah menyetujui pembelian pesawat tempur latihan dari perusahaan ternama Korea Selatan, Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd (KAI). KAI telah mencapai kesepakatan untuk memasok enam pesawat tempur latihan T-50 secara berkala yang akan dimulai pada 16 Desember 2021 s/d 30 Oktober 2024. Total nilai kesepakatan tersebut sebesar USD 240 juta atau setara dengan Rp. 3,4 triliun. Enam pesawat T50i 'Golden Eagle' ini akan menambah kebutuhan latihan TNI AU yang juga sebelumnya telah mengoperasikan pesawat dengan jenis yang sama.

Sebelumnya, Menteri Pertahanan RI Prabowo Subianto melaksanakan kunjungan kepada Menteri Pertahanan Korea Selatan Y.M Suh Wook pada 8 April 2021. Menurut situs resmi Kemhan, pertemuan bilateral tersebut membahas mengenai pandangan tentang beberapa hal strategis di bidang pertahanan dan keamanan, diantaranya; keamanan regional dan kerjasama bilateral.

Spesifikasi T50i

T-50, jet latih supersonik canggih, adalah pesawat buatan Korea pertama yang melatih pilot pesawat tempur generasi berikutnya yang diproduksi bersama dengan Lockheed Martin. Pesawat memiliki sistem antarmuka Human-Man Interface (HMI) dengan desain Digital Glass Cockpit yang dilengkapi Smart Multi-Function Color Displays (MFCD). Kokpit dengan kapasitas 2 pilot dengan pembangkit oksigen On-Board Oxigen Generation System (OBOGS) serta kursi pelontar Zero-Zero Ejection Seats yang disuplai oleh Martin Baker.

T-50i menggunakan tenaga dari mesin General Electric F404-102 turbofan dengan daya dorong 1.770 pounds dan after burner 11.000 pounds dengan tenaga mil power. Mesin tersebut dilengkapi dengan kontrol mesin digital otoritas penuh atau Fully Authority Digital Engie Control (FADEC) dan menghasilkan tenaga 78.7 kN. Pesawat tersebut mampu melaju dengan kcepatan maksimum lebih dari 1.5 Mach atau diatas 1.600 km/jam.
